Great time at the Tennis Fair!

Image
Thanks to all the members who came out Saturday and participated in the OTA Tennis Fair. The weather was warm, but a breeze and refreshments under the shady trees made it enjoyable. Special thanks to Mary and John Scanlon for bringing the refreshing watermelon and cantaloupe. It sure was appreciated by everyone. Their experience in organizing clinics in the past sure came in handy. Ely Schwartz, OTA level Club Pro 2, led everyone in some valuable warm-up exercises to help getting us being better prepared to play effectively and safely. Some playing tips and strategies were also demonstrated and practiced. Doubles play will certainly be improved once we are back on the courts. Cooperative play is certainly much more difficult than it sounds! Ely enjoyed his time in Alliston and looks forward to visiting us again next year. Before leaving, he spent some time rallying with Alex and David getting ready to play in a tournament Saturday afternoon in Niagara.
